Single hairs are usually harmless. But there are situations in which they are a symptom of a more serious problem.
Pay attention if:
-
Hair growth is accompanied by an irregular menstrual cycle.
-
Your skin has become oilier or you have developed acne.
-
You have unexplained weight gain.
These may be signs of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) . In this case, tweezers will not solve the problem – a consultation with a gynecologist and endocrinologist is needed.
-
3. How to deal with them?
If you have ruled out a medical problem, fighting is a matter of personal choice:
-
For single hairs: Tweezers remain the fastest and easiest method.
-
For more stubborn areas: Laser hair removal is a long-term solution that destroys the follicle.
