The needle and thread method: simple and effective.
Materials needed
A needle with a wide eye (preferably blunt-tipped)
Strong thread (such as dental floss or thin string)
A little lubricant (soap, oil, or moisturizer)
Step by step:
Pass the wire under the ring
Pass the needle through the thread and gently slide it under the ring, making sure one end of the thread comes out the other side.
Wrap the thread around your finger.
Take the longer end of the thread and wrap it firmly, but gently, around the swollen part of your finger, toward the nail.
This helps to gently compress the swelling, making it easier to insert the ring.
Unwind the thread and let the method work.
Hold the short end of the wire (near the ring) and begin to gently unwind it in the opposite direction.
This movement will gradually move the ring toward your fingertip, without effort or pain.
Remove the ring carefully
Continue gently pulling on the wire while checking that the ring slides smoothly.
It should be free in a few seconds!
