The rain had stopped a short time ago, and the pavement was still damp. Silence filled the air as the couple tried to understand what had happened to their vehicle . Checking their phones, they discovered there was no signal, making it impossible to call for help. For several long minutes, they waited for a car to pass by, but none seemed to appear.
As the uncertainty began to grow, lights appeared in the distance. A car slowed to a stop behind the disabled vehicle. A young man got out and, without hesitation, asked if they needed help.
After inspecting the engine with a small flashlight, he explained that the problem seemed to be related to a part that could hardly be repaired on the spot. He then offered a simple solution: he would take the couple to a nearby town where there was a mechanic’s shop open all night.
The couple tried to repay the favor by offering him money for fuel, but the young man declined with a smile. He explained that he had to go to that area anyway and that helping someone in need was simply the right thing to do.
During the ride, they started talking. The driver, named Vlad, spoke matter-of-factly about his personal story. He explained that he had grown up in the child protection system and that, upon reaching adulthood, he had to start his life practically from scratch. While working during the day in a restaurant, he also studied at night with the goal of dedicating himself to social work in the future.
